Hierarchical or common spaces
planned
John Trustman
Currently, each space is an independent logical entity. If I copy or clone a space, I get a second logical entity, but that entity will diverge from the space from which it is created. It would be helpful to support a parent-child relationship between spaces so that chats and documents in the parent space could be shared amongst the children rather than needing to recreate any changes across multiple spaces.
As an MVP, each workspace could support at least one common parent space that would be inherited across multiple spaces within that workspace.
For example, for Client A, I could upload documents describing the client's competitive situation, strategy, product line, and other offerings, as well as chats about the company's position. I would then have individual spaces which had access to that information for multiple projects.

Yes, that's planned and under review, but only within the same workspace; it can be complicated between workspaces as they use different encryption, etc.
